David Cushman - Director of Policy

David brings to the Dauntless team a passion for history and politics, nurtured by a deep-rooted commitment to public service. A lifelong resident of the Central Valley, David’s family owned and operated a small business for much of his youth, providing him with insight on the intricacies of bureaucratic intrusion into the free market. Witnessing his family’s struggle with running a small business fueled David’s firm belief that businesses and individuals operate best with as little government interference as possible.

He has been involved in conservative causes consistently since his youth, when he served as Vice President of the Manteca High School Young Conservatives. In college, David also served as Treasurer of the Stanislaus State College Republicans, and as President of the Manteca Tea Party Patriots. In 2016, David ran for City Council in Manteca, CA, becoming the youngest candidate for that office in the city’s history. He currently volunteers with the Manteca Kiwanis Club, and serves as Vice President of the San Joaquin Conservative Republicans.

David graduated from California State University, Stanislaus, in 2015 with a B.A. in Political Science. He and his wife Genevie currently reside in Manteca.
